Festival Cairns

Late August to early September, usually held over three weeks, Festival Cairns is a vibrant mixture of arts, food, culture, family activities and most of all, fun. For three weeks the city is bursting at the seam with plays, entertainment, shows, concerts, art exhibitions and the Indigenous Art Fair. Festival Cairns kicks off with a huge parade down the Cairns Esplanade (just one block from The Sebel Cairns) and finishes with Cairns Amateurs race days and Carnival on Collins, a wonderful market day in one of Cairns most lush suburbs, Edge Hill, between the Tanks Arts Centre, and the Botanical Gardens.
